Southeastern Manitoba sees more rainfall after last week’s flood
Southeastern Manitoba saw another round of rain today, adding to what has already been a wet September. Steinbach recorded 27.6 millimetres since midnight, with similar amounts across the region, just one week after heavy downpours left parts of the city under water. According to www.gov.mb.ca/agriculture/weather: St. Pierre received 29.4 mm Dugald 32.3 mm Dominion City 25.4 mm Richer 19 mm Marchand 2.0 mm Zhoda 7.3 mm Morris 16.6 mm Stead 28.1 mm This comes after a significant rain event on September 12, when around 126 mm fell in Steinbach and caused flooding of streets, ditches, and basements of homes. Tonight, showers will taper off, leaving mainly cloudy skies with fog patches developing overnight. The low will be 12. Sunday will start mainly cloudy, with fog patches dissipating in the morning and sunshine breaking through by the afternoon. The high will be 20, with a humidex of 25. The UV index will be 4, or moderate. Sunday evening will be clear with a low of 10. Monday will be sunny with a high of 25. The forecast shows mostly sunny days continuing through the week, with daytime highs in the 20s. By Thursday, temperatures could reach 28 C. Overnight lows will hover around 10 degrees.
