The Eagles downed Grunthal 8-2 in the Southeastern Men's Fastball League. In the other game it was the Ravens over Mitchell 14-6.

In the Northern Baseball League, the Winnipeg Goldeyes game versus Calgary was postponed due to rain.

The Toronto Blue Jays' bullpen allowed three runs in the eighth inning as Baltimore beat the Jays 7-5. A hit batsmen with the bases-loaded brought in the tying run, and a bases-loaded walk put the Orioles ahead. A wild pitch brought in the third run.

In the Manitoba Major Soccer League First Division last night, the Hanover Kickers shaded Polonia S.C. 2-1.

Game one of the NBA final goes to the Dallas Mavericks. Jason Terry scored 32 points to lead the Mavericks over the Miami Heat 90-80.

In hockey news, the New York Islanders have introduced Neil Smith as their general manager and Ted Nolan as coach. Smith spent 11 seasons as the Rangers' GM, winning the 1994 Stanley Cup along the way. Nolan is back in the NHL for the first time since 1997, when he won coach of the year honours with Buffalo.
