Another search party is planned for this weekend, with hopes of finding a missing man from Steinbach.

Nicole Funk is helping to look for her nephew, 29-year-old Ryan Cody Maynard who has been missing since November 20th.

Funk says people are invited to meet at the Pat Porter Centre in Steinbach at 10am on Saturday, December 10th.

“The RCMP will be there to organize the search,” she says. “There may be people asked to go into the outskirts of Steinbach, more in the wooded areas or the surrounding communities.”

Some members of the search party will head out on snowmobiles and ATVs.

“Because, if he was in Steinbach, somebody would have found him by now and that hasn't happened,” says Funk.

Allison Zaporozan, girlfriend of Ryan’s cousin, has been helping organize the search parties. She says there are a few people who have already committed to helping search for Ryan. She invites anyone who has time to also join the search party.

Zaporozan says Steinbach RCMP coordinated the effort on December 2nd and will once again help with the search this weekend.

“We’ll have GPS tracking devices and we’re going to go out and cover what we haven’t already covered,” says Zaporozan.

Ryan’s family has not heard from him for 20 days and his aunt fears for his safety.

“Because Ryan has always been around,” Funk says. “He was homeless at times, but he still kept in touch with everybody, the mother of his daughter, my parents, my son especially. He was usually there at least every other day, and they would bring him in, and let him shower and give him something to eat, and sometimes a change of clothes. He always kept in touch with someone... always. And this is very much out of character for him. So, for him to be missing for this long, we just fear that something has happened and it's probably not good news.”

Funk says they have set up a Go Fund Me page, hoping to raise $10,000. She says that money will be used as a reward for tips that help them find Ryan.

Ryan Cody Maynard was last seen in November along Cedar Crescent in Steinbach. He is described as 5'11" tall, weighing 165 pounds with brown hair and hazel coloured eyes. No clothing description has been provided.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Steinbach RCMP or Crime Stoppers
