The City of Steinbach released more details about the proposed Performing Arts Centre including an estimated cost of $24-million. This prompted negative responses from City councillors Susan Penner and Michael Zwaagstra. Mayor Chris Goertzen says these responses were unfair and criticized them for going back on council's commitments. Deputy mayor John Fehr moved that council reaffirm its commitment of $7.5-million to the project which was approved by a vote of 4-3.
