The classes got underway yesterday for students in grades 7, 8 and 9.
They have three weeks to sharpen up their skills and get up to speed.  Roughly 70 students are participating in the Hanover School Division's summer school program, which got underway yesterday.  Brent Giesbrecht says the program is designed for grades 7 to 9.  The grade 9 students are taught by a teacher, while students in grades 7 and 8 follow a computer program.  He tells us motivating the students is not much of an obstacle because the program runs for only three weeks and the teachers are different.  Classes run to 26th at the Steinbach Regional Secondary School.
