New outdoor rink in Steinbach is nearing completion

The new outdoor rink on the intersection of Elmdale Street and Barkman Avenue is nearing completion. 

They are also constructing a building with a washroom and two change rooms.  

While the new rink is being built, the old outdoor rink by T.G. Smith Centre is currently in the process of demolition.  

The old rink was 81 feet wide and 180 feet long, while the new rink will be regulation-size, so 85 feet wide and 200 feet long. 

It will be fully lit with mesh all around. 10-foot mesh on the sides and 12-foot mesh on the ends.
