The annual giving project at Southwood School will help families in our own backyard and around the world.
Teacher Martha Hiebert explains the curriculum teaches students to think beyond themselves and care for others.  Students are raising money for families in other countries who are impacted by war or poor living situations.  The money will be used to purchase rabbits which will be raised as food.  Teacher Shirley Reimer says locally the Community Christmas hamper project will benefit from the other part of their program.  Each class is collecting various food items to fill these hampers.
