Colin Tétrault enjoyed some great hockey Friday night in Niverville and he left the arena with some extra cash.

He was selected during the game between the Nighthawks and Steinbach Pistons to be a contestant in the Hub Shoot to Win contest.

With all eyes on the ice, Tétrault showed that he still has what it takes to score big. The puck slid across the ice and through the centre opening.

The former junior player walked away with a prize of $5,000.

Tétrault was at the Niverville CRRC for a special event during the game to promote speed skating. With both daughters in the sport, he is working to grow the club in Niverville.

All around, it was an exciting night for Tétrault.
