The Hanover School Division continues to buck the provincial trend.

Enrolment is up again this fall.  Superintendent John Peters says 7,040 students showed up for classes Wednesday, up 2.3 per cent from June.  Numbers in Steinbach are up more than expected, especially at the Junior High and Woodlawn.  The increase was less than expected at Grunthal.  Peters expects staffing resources may have to be adjusted accordingly.  The matter will be discussed at the next school board meeting.
