Pistons fans are encouraged to join the team tonight in collecting toys for Steinbach's Community Christmas Toy Drive.

Head coach Paul Dyck looks forward to seeing a large pile of donations at the La Broquerie arena as his team gets ready to take on the Dauphin Kings.

Fans can bring an unwrapped toy and add it to the bin,” Dyck says. “It's been very successful over the years, and I know our guys get involved with it as well. It's a lot of fun prior to (the game), and you see people bringing in some gifts. I know this community's been so generous with this cause and so we're excited just to play a small part in it.”

All the toys collected at the Pistons game November 24th will go right to Canadian Tire in Steinbach to fill up the toy train.

If you can’t make it to the game tonight, you can still contribute by bringing a new, unwrapped toy to Toys Days on December 5th and 6th at Canadian Tire in Steinbach.

Last year, the community came together and provided 1,900 toys. At least 2,000 toys are needed this year to fill the requests for Christmas Hampers in Steinbach.

All hamper registration forms need to be submitted by November 30th.
