Parts of southeast Manitoba hit with 20-30 mm of rain
It was another soggy day in Southern Manitoba on Monday. The rain started early Monday morning in many areas, lasting until Tuesday morning. Manitoba Agriculture has provided the following rain amounts for areas in eastern Manitoba, up to Tuesday at 8 am: Menisino - 27.9 millimetres (mm) Gardenton - 27.0 mm Zhoda - 26.5 mm Sprague - 26.1 mm St. Labre - 24.1 mm Dugald - 23.6 mm Marchand - 21.9 mm Rosa - 21.9 mm Richer - 21.4 mm Steinbach - 20.4 mm St. Pierre - 19.7 mm Dominion City - 18.9 mm Elma - 18.4 mm Vivian - 18.0 mm St. Adolphe - 17.8 mm Lac du Bonnet - 15.9 mm Beausejour - 15.2 mm Stead - 13.4 mm Meanwhile, Environment Canada is still calling for a 60 per cent chance of showers on Tuesday in Steinbach. It will also be windy, with winds from the north at 40-60 kilometres per hour. The forecast high is seven degrees. According to Environment Canada, the rest of the week should see a return to sunshine and above-normal temperatures. The normal high for this time of year is eight degrees. Steinbach could see temperatures as high as 14 by Saturday.
