A motorist from Mitchell has had his driver's license temporarily suspended following an incident over the weekend.

RCMP stopped the 27-year-old male along Steinbach's Main Street on Sunday at 8:07 am.

According to Steinbach RCMP, the motorist was stopped for speeding. However, police also issued him an immediate roadside prohibition as the result of his blood alcohol content. His driver's license has now been suspended for three days and his vehicle has been impounded for three days.
