Steinbach RCMP nab two impaired drivers, including 17-year-old

Steinbach RCMP stopped two impaired drivers on Saturday.

At 5:47 pm, Steinbach RCMP stopped a vehicle near Road 40E and the Trans Canada Highway, east of Ste. Anne. Police say a 45-year-old male from the Rural Municipality of Brokenhead now faces charges of failing to comply with a demand, operating a vehicle while prohibited and operating a motor vehicle while impaired. 

Then, at 11:39 pm, Steinbach RCMP stopped a vehicle along Brandt Street. Police say a 17-year-old male now faces numerous charges including operating a vehicle while impaired, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm, driving an unregistered vehicle, carrying liquor in a vehicle, possessing or consuming of liquor by a minor and possessing or consuming cannabis by a young person.
