Steinbach RCMP are investigating a case of domestic violence that allegedly occurred over the weekend.

Police say it happened in Steinbach Saturday at 9:26 am. 

As a result, a 29-year-old male from Kenora now faces charges of assault with a weapon, assault and resisting arrest.

No further details have been provided. 

Steinbach RCMP received 38 calls for service over the weekend.
