Get ready to rumble.  The large steam engine will be back in this year's Pioneer Days parade.
Steinbach Steam Club President Ert Peters says the engine failed to pass a safety inspection last year and was unsafe to operate.  Club members raised $50,000.00 to complete the repairs.  The project involved replacing the old boiler which was done by a company in Fargo, North Dakota.  There are still a few things left to do before the engine is ready to steam so while the engine will be at the museum they will not be taking part in the Canada Day celebrations.  But Peters is confident you will again hear the whistle at Pioneer Days this August.
