With soccer registration underway, this is also the time for parents to sign up as volunteers.

“Parents, when they’re signing up their kids, there are boxes to check if you want, to indicate if they want to help coach a team or coach a team,” says Brian Froese, Chair of the Hanover Soccer Club.

They already have over 500 children registered for their U4-U18 program this spring.

Froese hopes parents will take some time to consider all the opportunities they have to participate in local soccer.

He notes there are quite a variety of ways parents can be involved.

“Our board is always looking for individuals as well. Sometimes we have committees where we can use committee members. Right now, our board actually has a few vacancies.”

The club operates completely with the support of volunteers.
