The Rural Municipality of Ste. Anne is actively looking for more volunteers to join their Emergency Response Group.

Volunteer drop-in sessions were held this past Thursday and Saturday, and there are two more sessions coming up.

In the event of a disaster that would require evacuation of residents, the municipality would call on these volunteers to open an emergency reception centre.

Volunteers will attend training sessions four times throughout the year and participate in mock emergency exercises.

The municipality is hosting drop-in sessions, hoping residents will stop in and ask questions, maybe even become a volunteer.

There are various volunteer positions that need to be filled. They are currently looking for volunteers to work in either the Reception Centre or the Emergency Operations Centre.

Volunteer Drop In Sessions at the Emergency Operations Center, located in the Public Works building at 383 Traverse Road (behind the Administrative Offices):

Saturday, February 10th, 2024 from 10am-12pm

Sunday, February 11th, 2024 from 2pm-4pm
