The next phase of the beautification and equipment project is moving ahead at Richer School. The parent council requested a number of grants from various organizations.  Resident Christine Francey says one of those has been approved. It's an $8,000 grant from the Community Places Program and will be used for a new playstructure. Other parts of the project include putting in a track and changing the look behind the school. Francey explains a lot of time goes into preparing grant proposals. But they bring in a lot more money than other fundraisers like chocolate sales.
