Oakbank RCMP responded to an alarm at a business on Transport Road in the RM of Springfield on November 8 at approximately 11:45 pm.

Upon arrival, the officer noticed an unoccupied truck that was running near the fence of the business. A hole had been cut in the fence and there were fresh footprints in the snow.

Additional officers responded along with Police Dog Services. Police Service Dog, Phox, tracked the suspect for approximately 5 km and located the male walking in the thick bush.

Dustin Shelton, 35, of Winnipeg was arrested and charged with Break and Enter and Failing to Comply. He was remanded into custody.

Oakbank RCMP continue to investigate.
