The Steinbach Pistons lost their pre-season opener dropping a 5-4 decision to the Winnipeg Saints at the T.G. Smith Centre. Nicolas Kobelka, Russell Trudeau. Brett Charette and David Robertson did the goal scoring for the Pistons who were outshot by the Saints 44-35.

AM 1250's Voice of the Pistons Kevin Geisheimer asked Steinbach head coach Rich Gosselin to comment on their pre-season opener.

Pistons forward Nicolas Kobelka, who was Steinbach's first overall pick in the 2009 Manitoba Junior Hockey League Bantam Draft, talked about his busy week as the Beausejour native was at a Western Hockey League rookie camp.
