Wes Long singled home Brian Myrow with the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning as the Winnipeg Goldeyes edged the St. Paul Saints 3-2 in the opening game of their best-of-five American Baseball Association semifinal. Price Kendall had a single, a sacrifice fly and drove in the first two runs for Winnipeg. Goldeyes game one starter Ace Walker went 6.1 innings and allowed only one run on four hits. Jamie Vermilyea pitched the final three innings to record the victory. Game two goes tonight at Shaw Park.
