The Town of Niverville opened a full-sized playground along Range Avenue by Sunset Estates on the west side of town.

Funds for the playground came from a donation by developer Len Peters who says, “I hope this playground will be a benefit to the many young families that call Niverville home. I’m happy to see this green space be used for the benefit of the residents of the community.”

Director of Recreation and Wellness for Niverville says, “We are excited to add this playground to our large number of outdoor recreation spaces in Town. With the addition of this space, the Town of Niverville now has over 160-acres of usable park green space for the public to enjoy."

Meanwhile, Mayor Myron Dyck says, “We have a number of young families in our community, so this is providing opportunities for children to play and families and residents to gather. We're always trying to build community, and to have these spaces is important.”

Dyck thanks the developer for the donations which he says will be a great benefit to the town, and adds, “the developer has been working in the town for several years now. And so, we've gotten to know them, and certainly appreciate all they do for our community.”

The Range Avenue playground is located in the Highlands, west of the railway tracks on the south side of Hwy 311.
