The Tory's Justice Critic wants changes to how young offenders are dealt with. Kelvin Goertzen has sent a letter to provincial and federal justice ministers, outlining his suggestions.  He is suggesting supervision of serious offenders, a wider range of sentencing options, along with meaningful intervention.  He would also like to see parents more engaged in dealing with youth.  Goertzen is not looking for a response from justice ministers, but he is hoping for quick action.  He says it's time the governments do more than just talk about changes.  He'd also like to see parents more engaged in dealing with and controlling their youth.
