Fundraising is in full swing this month at Canadian Tire in Steinbach where they are collecting donations for the Jumpstart program. 

Money raised in Steinbach will help local kids overcome financial and accessibility barriers to sport and recreation to provide inclusive play for kids of all abilities.

Fundraising kicked off on June 1st with a fun event that included a bouncy slide for the kids, hot dogs and a fun tour of a fire truck.  

Randi Schroeder says the Jumpstart program has expanded. 

“It used to be just sports but now we've welcomed the play, so we have gymnastics and dance, it's not just hockey or baseball or soccer, it's all the sports and arts.”

She notes all the money raised in Steinbach will stay in Steinbach.
