Four arrested following heavy police presence in downtown Steinbach

Four individuals were arrested in Steinbach Tuesday morning as part of an investigation that saw police close a portion of Reimer Avenue.

At approximately 11 am, Steinbach RCMP, Police Dog Services and Ste. Anne Police, along with the RCMP Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at a property along Reimer Avenue.

According to Steinbach RCMP, four occupants were taken into custody.

Police say a 32-year-old male from Steinbach will be facing charges of possession of methamphetamine as well as failing to comply with a release order.

The other three occupants were released without charge.

RCMP have provided no additional information.

RCMP closed a portion of Reimer Avenue Tuesday morning.
