A 26-year-old driver was caught going 137km/h in a 70km/h zone as it quickly approached a 50km/h zone, southbound on Highway 12 in Steinbach just before 2am on October 22.

The officer demanded a breath sample and the driver failed.

The driver was towed, fined $927 for speeding, received a 90-day license suspension, a 30-day vehicle impound, and a serious offense notice.
