The Steinbach Fire Department was called out Thursday evening to a hydro pole fire on Loewen Boulevard at Albert Street. 

Fire Chief Kel Toews says they arrived around 9:30pm to find some glowing at the top of the pole. 

“We sprayed some water on it and called Manitoba Hydro to do the repairs,” Toews says. “They showed up just as we were leaving.”
