Students in Steinbach are being encouraged to get involved with the Bethesda Foundation's Centres Of Excellence campaign.
Co-chair Marg Rempel says to do that they introduced a special 'Life, Hope, Healing' wristband on Wednesday to children at Woodlawn School.  She adds children are the next generation of citizens in our community and need to be included in a project of this size.  The wristbands are available at all Hanover Schools, Steinbach grocery stores, South East Wellness Pharmacy and Steinbach Family Medical Centre.  Co-chair Doctor Curtis Krahn says the first phase in these Centres Of Excellence is to build the new obstetrics and Cancercare wing which will create much needed space.  He explains this project is not about asking government for more funding, rather it's about the public coming together and saying this is important enough to do someting about it.
