The Kailer Rogal Memorial fundraiser is coming up soon, and it has a strong focus on supporting youth mental health and Backstage YFC.

Lawrence Friesen of "Carvings By Lawrence" has not only donated his time and artistic talent to the Kailer Rogal Memorial Fundraiser, but he has also assembled eight chainsaw carvers for a carving competition with a portion of the proceeds going to Backstage YFC Building Project.  Lawrence used to work with Kailer Rogal, who died of suicide nine months ago. He has also felt the pain of suicide in his own family. Because of this, he felt it was important to get involved.

Friesen says that most of the eight carvers come from the local area, one comes from Ontario and another from the Saskatchewan border. Each carver has donated a pre-carved piece for the auctions. Plus, the piece they carve at the event will also be auctioned off at the end of the event. There is a prize from The Rental House for the best carving.

Robb Nash will also be speaking at the event in hopes of bringing hope to those who struggle with thoughts of suicide. Nash is also donating a signed guitar which will also be auctioned off at the event.
