The Winnipeg Blue Bombers will face the only winless team in the Canadian Football League tonight when they meet the British Columbia Lions at Canad Inns Stadium. The Bombers are tied for first place in the CFL East with the defending Grey Cup champion Montreal Alouettes as both teams have 3-1 records. The Lions are 0-4 and in last place in the West Division.

Winnipeg quarterback Buck Pierce was the recipient of the CFL's Offensive Player of the Week Award. He completed 22 of 27 passes for 361 yards and three touchdowns in the Bombers 33-24 victory over the Argos in Toronto last Saturday.

Pierce talked about the momentum the offence is taking into tonight's game with the Lions.

The Blue Bombers will take to the field just two days after the sudden passing of assistant head coach & defensive line coach Richard Harris. Harris suffered a heart attack in his office after Tuesday's practice.
