A sidewalk project in Steinbach's Southland Park this year will cost close to $300,000.00.
Half the cost will be paid by the approximately 250 homeowners in Southland. City councillor Roy Enns says they'll pay about $570.00 each. They can either make a lump sum payment this year or pay about $140.00 a year for 5 years. Councillor Enns adds the project is drawing a lot of positive feedback from residents, especially as more people take up walking for exercise.
