One person was taken to hospital after a two vehicle crash Wednesday morning north of Oakbank.

Police say it appears a 2016 Dodge Ram was travelling west along Provincial Road 213 when it collided with a southbound 2011 Ford Escape. The impact resulted in the Ford Escape rolling off the road and trapping its occupant.

The RM of Springfield Fire Department used specialized equipment to remove the lone occupant of the vehicle. A 44 year-old male from the RM of Springfield was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The occupants of the Dodge Ram, a 22-year-old male and an 18-year-old male, both from the RM of Springfield suffered minor injuries.

Speed is considered a factor. The investigation is ongoing.

The crash happened shortly before eleven o'clock at the intersection of PR 206 and PR 213, north of Oakbank.
