Manitoba's medal count increased to 59 (16 gold, 22 silver, 21 bronze) after day four of the 2011 Western Canada Summer Games in Kamloops, B.C.


Yesterday was the final day for week one sports which included athletics, baseball, basketball, beach volleyball, canoe/kayaking, softball, tennis, triathlon and wrestling.


Wednesday is an off day in Kamloops. Week two sports (Badminton, Cycling, Field Hockey, Golf, Gymnastics, Rowing, Rugby, Soccer, Swimming and Volleyball) will begin on Thursday.


British Columbia leads the overall medal count with 127. Alberta is second with 117, followed by Saskatchewan with 104.
