A two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Chapel Drive and McKenzie Avenue in Steinbach shortly before 3:00 Wednesday afternoon.

Steinbach RCMP Constable Machek says, "there seemed to be a little bit of a dispute as to who was stopped at the four-way intersection. The van, I believe, was heading east-bound [on McKenzie], and the car was heading south-bound [on Chapel]."

She says there were two people in the van and one in the car, all three were treated on scene by EMS and released.

Steinbach Fire Department opened the hood of the van after seeing steam escapting the grill. Captain Trevor Schellenberg says, "[we opened the hood] to confirm there was no fire. There was steam and the smell was a bit off. We also cut the battery in the event something was causing a short circuit."

Machek says the investigation continues and no charges have been laid at this time.
