Two people are dead following a collision Sunday morning in Whiteshell Provincial Park.

Falcon Beach RCMP responded to a two vehicle crash at approximately 11:15 am near Barren Lake, which is between the Falcon Lake and West Hawk Lake turnoffs.

The initial investigation has determined that an eastbound vehicle stopped abruptly along the Trans Canada Highway. A 54-year-old male and his 17-year-old male passenger, both from Dryden, Ontario were pronounced dead on scene.

The 22-year-old male driver of the semi from Mississauga, Ontario sustained minor injuries. His 28-year-old male passenger from Brampton, Ontario also received minor injuries.
