Two cars of a westbound CN freight train derailed at Ste. Anne Monday night.  Police chief Marc Saindon says it happened just after 9 pm.  He adds the empty methanol tankers remained upright and posed no threat to the community.  Saindon says the cars actually jumped the tracks east of Ste. Anne and were dragged through the town before coming to a rest just west of the community.  Some crossings were damaged but remain passable.
CN brought in a crane and had the cars back on the track and moving several hours later.
