Ste Anne Elementary School, one of many getting a tune up

It's been a pretty typical summer for maintenance work in Seine River School Division.  Secretary Treasurer Paul Ilchena says there were no special projects on the books but crews have still been busy with regular maintenance.

Ilchena jokes the new story for this year is the fact the division didn't move any additional portables onto school grounds.  He figures that is a first non-activity for the division following years of adding portable classrooms to various schools.  Ilchena is not sure if it is just a blip in enrolment but notes with the Arborgate School construction there were no portables added there.

As far as regular projects goes he figures every school in the division has been touched by maintenance staff.  Floors have been replaced, cleaned and waxed, there have been electrical upgrades and new ceiling tiles installed.  Plus there have been a number of general projects which are easier to do when there are no staff or students in the buildings.
