As many southeastern Manitoba residents continue to deal with all the snow from the latest blizzards, kind-hearted friends and neighbours have been spotted helping each other dig out.

Here are some 'Thank Yous' for their hard work.

Violet: “I just wanted to thank the people who are so kind as to clean my driveway. I woke up to a huge pile of snow in front of my garage and in front of my door. I tried to shovel a path but there was no way I was going to do this by myself and then these wonderful neighbours, Sasha and Dave, came over with the snowblower and a shovel and they cleared it totally clean. What in the world would we do without such wonderful neighbours keeping my driveway clean. Words are not enough. I just lost my husband and I'm not used to be a widower yet. But there are so many things that need to be done. I'm so thankful for caring neighbours who take up the slack. I just want to say thank you. Thank you, thank you.”

Kathy: “I just want to give a big shout-out to my neighbour, Levi. My husband works out of town for MB Hydro and we get a big blizzard, but you know what? I never worry about when he goes out of town because I have the best neighbours ever! Levi and Kathy are there for me always. They either feed me. Take me shopping or snowblow me out when I need it and they're there to take me to hospital on a few occasions I would say. But you know what? I've got the best neighbours ever. Just awesome neighbours. Thanks so much. Levi and Kathy for being there for me all the time.

Lisa: “I would just like to give a huge shout-out and thank you to the neighbours on Quail Ridge Place, who cleaned our driveway late Sunday morning after the blizzard. There were four of them out there and thank you very very much.”

in to Clancy and my neighbours for all their snow clearing efforts on our behalf really appreciated it.”

Andrea: “I want to thank my neighbours Kurt and David for snow blowing for me yesterday. First, when our driveway and sidewalk were covered in tons of snow, Kurt came from down the block with his snowblower and blew out my driveway and the path up to our door. And then after I was able to move my car about half an hour later, David from next door came over and blew out the rest of the driver where my car had been parked. I appreciate these folks so much for it. Cut down the work that me and my kids had to do tremendously. Thank you so much, Kurt and David.”

Bev: “I'm so incredibly grateful for all the amazing neighbourhood community I have around me. We all help each other through every blizzard.”

Kelly: “Sending a huge thank you to Wanted Plumber who came along today with their front-end loader and cleared out our backup area and saved us about 2 hours worth of shovelling snow. Thank you so much.”

Annette: “I would like to thank my husband, Marvin, for clearing our driver during these not-so-wonderful Alberta Clippers that we've been having going through here. We've had so much snow in our yard and yes, he did it, sometimes in shorts. He is so bored that he opened the neighbour's driveway. We want to really thank him for all the hard work he did. And yes, he had hot coffee when he came inside homemade soup to keep him warm. So we want to thank him from the bottom of our hearts for being so helpful and kind.”
