Another round of rain and thunderstorms hit the southeast Friday evening. Ditches and low lying areas filled with water and some daring paddlers floated south down the flooded Brandt Street in Steinbach.
As of 6:30 A.M. Saturday morning, rain amounts varied across the southeast with Steinbach received between 2.5 and 4.5 inches. Marchand measured 4.5 inches while Zhoda reported 6 inches of rain since Friday morning.
Manitoba Hydro is reporting a few continuing outages in the Richer and South Junction areas as of Saturday morning as well. Phone lines are reportedly down in Marchand as well.
