A rollover near Grunthal sent one person to hospital Saturday afternoon.

According to the Hanover Fire Department, a single vehicle containing only the driver lost control along Froese Road (Road 27 East) at around 2 PM in the afternoon.

Firefighters pulled the motorist from the vehicle using the jaws of life and proceeded to land STARS air ambulance nearby. The male occupant was airlifted to hospital.

A resident along Froese Road witnessed the collision take place. Jeremey Claeys says he watched the vehicle hit his driveway at a high rate of speed and soar roughly 100 feet through the air before smashing into a telephone pole.

The extent of the injuries remain unknown and police say the collision is still under investigation.
