The slate of candidates is now set for next month's provincial election in Manitoba. Monday afternoon was the deadline by when candidates needed to file their nomination papers.
In Steinbach, there are four candidates. They are:
- Gabrielle Simard-Nadeau (Green Party)
- Gord Meneer (NDP)
- Cyndy Friesen (Liberal)
- Kelvin Goertzen (PC) - incumbent
In La Verendrye, there are four candidates. They are:
- Matthew Wiebe (Keystone Party)
- Bianca Siem (NDP)
- Monica Guetre (Liberal)
- Konrad Narth (PC)
In Dawson Trail, there are three candidates. They are:
- Marcel Broesky (Green Party)
- Chris Wiebe (NDP)
- Bob Lagasse (PC) - incumbent
And in Springfield-Ritchot, there are three candidates. They are:
- Tammy Ivanco (NDP)
- Trevor Kirczenow (Liberal)
- Ron Schuler (PC) - incumbent

Advance voting begins Saturday, September 23rd, and runs through September 30th. Election day is October 3rd.
