The Seine River is getting more attention and money. The province has given an $18,000 cheque to a group called "Save Our Seine". 17-years ago, residents got together with a goal of protecting the Seine River running through Winnipeg. Co-ordinator David Danyluk says they have since realized they have to go further and protect the seine river before it gets to Winnipeg. So now, funds are being used to start small chapter groups in communities along the river. One person has already offered to start a chapter in Lorette. Danyluk hopes more people will step forward by connecting with him at saveourseine.com or call 470-9247.
