Manitoba Hydro has announced a planned outage Monday for parts of Mitchell.

Spokesperson Scott Powell says they are replacing some poles in that community between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm. The work will take place in the back lane of Maple Avenue and Oakview Avenue, between Willow Street and Lilac Street.

Powell says the outages will be sporadic, impacting maybe 10 to 15 customers. He notes no residence should be in the dark longer than about 90 minutes at a time.

There will be trucks and trailers carrying new poles in that back lane and he asks residents to stay clear until the work is completed.
