The Steinbach Pioneers are Baseball Manitoba Provincial 13U A champions.

The Pioneers went undefeated and captured the provincial championship banner this past weekend in Winkler.

Steinbach defeated the Mitchell Expos 12-2 in the gold medal game Sunday afternoon.

The Expos beat the Pioneers in the final of the Carillon Minor Ball playdowns last month.

Steinbach defeated Brandon 14-0; Lundar 22-3 and the Winkler Rangers 21-1 in the round robin.

The Pioneers then beat Russell 7-1 to earn a berth in the final.
