The Head of Parks and Recreation for the R.M. of Hanover says there was some very positive news in the province's preliminary draft of the second reopening phase.

Jason Peters says he is happy to hear that the province is considering resuming some sporting activities and reopening some recreation facilities.

“We are excited about the possibility of being able to make better use of our rec facilities especially at a time when people are looking for positive healthy things to do. But, we are waiting for some details in terms of specifics with regulations around some of the sports starting, whether we can open up things like pools and splash pads, I know they are mentioned in the release which is really positive news but what are the parameters around it.”

Peters notes at this point they are cautiously optimistic.

ee if we have the go-ahead to have some formal sport activity. He adds since the preliminary phase two was released on Thursday his phone has been ringing off the hook as he takes calls from people who are anxious to go out and resume some of those things we love.
