Niverville town council has made up its mind regarding taxes this year.Deputy mayor John Funk says they have decided to keep the mil rate as is.  Council gave first reading to its budget Tuesday night. Funk says one of the things they will be spending money on in the coming year is road improvements and sidewalks. The plan is to put in a sidewalk near the high school, another one would join 2nd Street North to Main Street and they want to create some walkways around the parks and the new golf course. Funk adds they've also put aside money for some new fire trucks as well as some green initiatives. Residents of Niverville will have a chance to give their input into the budget at a public hearing on April 15th.
