More Subdivisions Approved In Steinbach

Another 88 building lots are coming on stream in Steinbach. City council has approved 3 new subdivisions, 2 of them in the east end. One is called "Fox Run II" and will come off Herschfeld Road near Highway #52. Another is called Marshall Place and is located next to Quail Ridge. The third subdivision involves splitting off the rear of two lots on Old Tom Road, next to the golf course. The cul de sac will have 9 homes. Neighbor Ron Rudiak expressed concern because the homes will be serviced by community wells. He feels every new well adds to the risk of contaminating the aquifer. But council is satisfied proper safeguards are in place.
