Bob Stefaniuk suggests improving the tax structure
La Verendrye conservative candidate Bob Stefaniuk wants the provincial government to do better at job creation.  He points to data from Statistics Canada which shows a net gain of 3,600 jobs in our province last year.  That's last among the western provinces including Saskatchewan where there were 23,000 new jobs last year.  Stefaniuk says we may not have as much oil as the other western provinces but we have plenty of other attributes like cheap and abundant electricity.  He suggests a key part of the problem is high taxes.  Stefaniuk adds the conservatives are committed to reducing those taxes and doing a better job of promoting Manitoba as a destination.
