The Winnipeg Jets were outshot 41-28 and lost 3-2 to the Los Angeles Kings at Bell MTS Place Tuesday night.

Kings captain Anze Kopitar scored the go-ahead goal on the power play 5:52 into the third period.

Austin Wagner and Kurtis MacDermid also scored for Los Angeles.

Kyle Connor and Nikolaj Ehlers replied for the Jets who have lost four of their last five games.

Winnipeg goaltender Connor Hellebuyck made 38 saves including 20 in the first period.

Kings netminder Jonathan Quick stopped 26 shots.

The Jets (5-6) will wrap up their six-game homestand on Saturday when they face the Calgary Flames at the 2019 Heritage Classic at Mosaic Stadium in Regina.
