JC Normandeau to take over as Fire Chief of La Broquerie

JC Normandeau has been appointed as Fire Chief for the RM of La Broquerie, and will be officially starting as Fire Chief on July 1st. 

RM of La Broquerie CAO, Andrew Glassco, says Normandeau has been the Deputy Fire Chief for the last 19 years and has been on the department for 32 years total. 

“He's been an officer, been very involved. He knows our community, he knows our fire department."

Glassco says having Normandeau move up from Deputy Fire Chief to Fire Chief will make for a smooth transition. 

“We're very happy in terms of succession planning, so that we can continue to ensure the provision of emergency services in our community, and look out also for the public safety and health of our residents.” 

Normandeau will be replacing Alain Nadeau who, after many years of service, has retired. 

“We're very pleased at the work that the former Fire Chief did over many, many years, and we wish him all the best in his retirement.”
